Performing in POETIC MEMORY at Communal Spaces

It’s the change of summer into fall, which means it’s that time of year again: Communal Spaces time. This is the second year I’ve been invited to perform in this festival, and it gets cooler each time. Here’s the festival: eight playwrights are assigned community gardens and write short pieces specifically for those spaces. This year, I get to play alongside Louiza Collins, Jaspal Binning, Matt Cox and Marianna McClellan in Georgette Kelly’s Poetic Memory at the Garden of Hope in BedStuy. The piece was directed by Lillian Meredith, who also founded the festival and co-produced it this year with Chris Norwood. Other featured playwrights include Patrick Shaw, Nora Sorena Casey, Erin Buckley, Angela Santillo and Clare Barron.

For more information on the festival, check out the Communal Spaces website and fundraising page. Then come out and see us! The festival runs on the weekends through September 14.
