On January 6th, I performed in a staged reading of A Crime in the Neighborhood by Jim Glossman, adapted from the novel by Suzanne Berne. The reading was at Luna Stage.
Luna Stage describes the play: “During ‘Watergate Summer’ in 1972, a young teenage boy is found murdered behind a mall in suburban Washington DC. At the other end of the same residential neighborhood, 10-year-old Marsha, who fancies herself a detective, begins to have suspicions that her new next-door-neighbor may have something to do with the crime. A tale of family upheaval and old business from the past, that still hangs on after 4 decades.” The play was commissioned by the City Lit Theatre in Chicago, and will be performed there this spring.
I’ll be performing in another reading of the play in Madison NJ on January 30th with the New Jersey Playwrights Theatre. New Jersey, here I come!
