I’m excited to announce that I’ve been accepted as a member of the Women’s Work Short Play Lab at New Perspectives Theatre Company. The Lab will develop a short play of mine, along with works by five of my fellow playwrights, then produce it this coming August as part of the annual Women’s Work Short Play Festival.
In New Perspectives Theatre Company’s own words, “Since its creation in 1994, NPTC Women’s Work Project has had the goal of not only helping to develop specific plays, but to support residents’ growth as accomplished and skilled playwrights—to give writers added tools in the practice of their craft and to strengthen their individual voices. Our focus has always been on bringing scripts to production quality.”
I’ll be getting feedback at meetings each month from directors, dramaturges and my fellow playwrights. Let the writing begin!
