The Middle Voice Theatre Company, the official apprentice company at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, will produce my full-length play Graduation Day as a workshop production in the Fall of 2014.
I began writing this play last April in reaction to the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan. I was especially interested in exploring how little my generation (with myself included) understands about a war that’s being going on for nearly half our lives.
This past October, the play received a private workshop through the generosity of Stable Cable Lab Co and The Far Space Residency Program of the Lambent Foundation. The workshop production will be directed by fellow Middle Voice member Jenna Worsham.
Jenna and I have been working together since the very beginning of the development process. She directed the first scene of the play at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater’s annual Theater Jam.
